To Mirror or not to Mirror.....

I like mirrors. I don't always like walking past mirrors but I like everything about mirrors. Especially, the way they reflect light. I think every room can use a good mirror. With that being said it's important to pick the right mirror for the right room. Taking size, shape, color & style into consideration. I added several pictures below to give you an idea as to how mirrors can add light & interest to a space.

This is a home Nicole & I ReWorked. That corner was calling for a tall mirror that would reflect the light that flooded the room.

So we made a mirror. Mirrors can be pretty expensive especially the bigger they get. Being as we were on a tight budget we gathered some supplies and whipped this one up!

(Pinterest pic) I love this entire space. But by adding that mirror the space feels even more bright and light. I love the black frame that matches the black legs of the bench. Ties it all together.

(Pinterest pic) If you can imagine this big round mirror not being here, the space would be much darker and definitely not as interesting. I love the size, shape & color of this one!

(Pinterest pic) Remember back in the day, the ol' sliding mirrored closet doors. They've come a long way. Barn door track with a large mirror! Yes Please!

(Pinterest pic) I'm not a huge fan of white shiny floor tiles but this oversized chunky-dark-framed mirror takes your eye away from the floor but yet keeps the space bright. It definitely adds interest to the all-white room. When you first look at the picture your eye goes directly to the mirror. I love how the little console table doesn't obstruct the mirror. You can still see the entire mirror.

(Pinterest pic) Mirrored tiles.... I'm kind of diggin' theses...although, I think people would get frustrated not being able to actually see themselves? But I do love the reflection that casts over the little bathroom.

(Pinterest pic) And then there is this one! A vintage inspired mirror...amazing. Still reflective but yet a piece of art.

And this is my bedroom. This is a picture of my nightstand without the mirror....

And here it is with the mirror. It makes a huge difference, adding light to that corner. The opposite side of the bed has the same nightstand and mirror.

When in doubt...add a mirror or two! There are so many great options out there!
